More Information on How It Works
The concept is simple. If you have ever participated in a scavenger hunt, you are already one step ahead in understanding how the game works.
First things first, you have to Sign Up as a RushHunt player; this process will never ask you for any personal information other than your email. Once you have signed up, you will be ready to participate in all past and future RushHunts for free.
You can join a RushHunt by simply pointing your browser to the "RushHunts" tab where you can make your selection. After you have confirmed your choice you will be able to compete against other players in the online scavenger hunt based competition: RushHunt.
Make your way to the "Your Current Hunt" page to check the status of your RushHunt. If your RushHunt is new, a message will appear requesting more people to join. This response is caused because every RushHunt needs a minimal number of active players to allow advertisers to sponsor a grand prize.
After all players have joined, the RushHunt will begin at 7pm PST and will display a countdown to the official start time
(be sure to refresh the page
to see accurate readings). Once the clock hits zero, you will be greeted with the first question of the RushHunt.
Each question refers to a sponsored webpage, which has the answer hidden somewhere in the text. Once you have found the answer switch back to your RushHunt page and enter the answer you found. The system will instantly tell you whether you are correct or incorrect. After supplying a correct answer, you may proceed to the next question. The first player to answer all questions correctly is the winner and will receive the Grand Prize.
Each RushHunt has its own Winner Circle (located on the RushHunt info page) which shows the top twenty players and their times. In addition, answers to each question are automatically posted after each hunt.
Questions, clues, and answers may vary greatly from question to question. Each answer may be a number, a word, or a phrase found on a particular webpage indicated in the question.
Each question should take only a few minutes to figure out. However, some users may find certain questions easier or more difficult than others may and the time it takes you to answer any given question may vary greatly. It all depends on how good you are at finding things on web pages. The questions will become increasingly difficult as you progress, with the last question being the most difficult.
Should you win the Grand Prize the system will provide details on how you can forward necessary shipping information.
